Two local leaders with national reach will take the podium at this year's 21st annual PWA Expo Breakfast on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the Oregon Convention Center. Our distinguished speakers are Gene Sandoval, partner at ZGF Architects, and Jason White, Portland president of the global ad agency Wieden+Kennedy.

The annual breakfast attracts 450 business leaders and educators, as well as high school students from across the region who are developing their college-and-career aspirations.

Gene Sandoval

Gene Sandoval is a partner at ZGF Architects, a global architecture firm that is headquartered in Portland and specializes in sustainable and regenerative design. Gene leads design teams for some of ZGF's most ambitious and complex projects, including the stunning new terminal at the Portland International Airport and an expansion at the Nike World Headquarters. Gene calls the airport "his Ellis Island": He moved to Oregon years ago from the Philippines and embraced the Northwest as his home.

Jason White

Jason White is Portland president of Wieden+Kennedy, the global creative agency behind Nike's "Just Do It" and many other iconic creative campaigns. White worked at Wieden+Kennedy as a director for the Nike account and as managing director of W+K's Shanghai office before leaving for key marketing roles for companies such as Apple and Beats by Dre and Fanatics. He returned to W+K in Fall 2023 and now leads the Portland headquarters.
