Andy Hua didn’t just earn a college scholarship this spring though the ACE Mentor Program, a special partner of PWA. The 2016 Roosevelt High graduate also landed a full-time summer job through his ACE connections.
No summer slump for these students! We spent the morning with middle schoolers at the Pacific Northwest Carpenters Institute in Northeast Portland. Students worked with the apprenticeship trainers and a Cleveland High teacher on a woodworking project, crafting their own toolboxes.

The ACE Mentor Program of Oregon this week awarded $72,000 in college scholarships to 16 Portland-area seniors interested in pursuing careers in architecture, construction management and engineering.
