As we all know, there is no substitute for real-world human connections. However, we are seeing some exciting opportunities to serve students in new ways, through online resources such as Expo2Go, and virtual engagement with industry professionals.
We've been busy at the virtual PWA headquarters creating a series of virtual career talk opportunities for students. We held our first career talk yesterday, in partnership with Oregon MESA. Students heard from professionals from Kaiser Permanente and Multnomah County as they spoke about health care as a calling.
We have two more "Career Insights" with Oregon MESA this week, featuring Nike & Intel engineers, a social justice activist and more. We also have career talks with professionals from Wieden+Kennedy, Oregon Humane Society, the City of Gresham, Northwest Youth Corps, and more in the works! Click here to find out more about these virtual opportunities.
We will continually add new virtual opportunities and update our events page and this list of career talks. If you have questions or want to get more involved, please contact us any time. Thanks so much for your critical role, during this time of social distancing, in helping PWA serve our community.
